Oh the slow days go by

The last week has been really uneventful and rather boring. I don't have to much to tell everyone. I just thought that I would make sure to let everyone know that all is well here in the Dickson house hold. The last couple of days I my friend Mary Beth has come over and hung out with me after I got off of work. But other than that I have done nothing else. Me and the dogs are staying busy counting down the days until Travis's possible short return. Even if he doesn't get to come home the counting keeps me busy and entertained enough which is the most important thing.
I am so excited about one other thing right now!!! I finally bought a plane ticket to fly out and see my sister next month! I can't wait to see her, Kyle, and of course Zach. I just hope the kid will wait to walk until I get there so that I can see him do it. Well that is all for now. I promise to try and keep you updated on all the fun things that are going on here.

This weekend Mom and Kyle came over to help me finished "remodeling" the apartment. It looks great and I can't wait until Travis gets to see it. I know that it will be awhile but still. Here are some pictures of the finished look, and of course I included some of the dogs.
The living room.

The Bedroom. I love the way it turned out!!

Tucker and Dewy playing while we worked.
So really Kyle played on the computer.
Dewy and Tucker lay around alot, because they miss Travis alot!!!

Long time coming!

Ok, ok I know that it has been FOREVER since I posted anything new. But let's just say that it has been a crazy world wind couple of weeks. There is so much to tell you guys I don't even know where to start. So I will start from the beginning. The week after Travis left things quickly went down hill real fast!!! With out going into to to much detail let's just say that by that Friday I was ready to live in a plastic bubble were no one could bring me any more bad news. After that week I know that I have official filled my bad luck quota for this year and next! And I have to say that I am pretty sure that there are very few things that could happen during this deployment that could make it any worse. Then came a wonderful surprise. That Saturday my sister flew in to see me. I had no idea that she was coming. Every one else in my family knew but I had no idea. It was a wonderful and much needed relief. She was only here for 10 days so we had to pack all the fun that we could into that short amount of time. So we quickly got busy. Through out those days we shopped, saw a movie, and my favorite "remodeled" my apartment. Saturday, June 7th, was my birthday and I have to admit that it was a little depressing to celebrate with out Travis but my wonderful family helped keep me occupied the entire time so that I was never to down!! It was an awesome 10 days, and it really helped to keep my mind off all the terrible things that went wrong. I am happy to say that Brandi made all my bad luck go away. I want to make sure that everyone knows how much their support means to me. You guys are all awesome! I love you. And I promise that now that I have internet back (finally) I will post more often.
