Finishing the year
I know, I know. I have been slacking big time on the blogging thing. I can't help it. We have been so busy since the week of Christmas. I feel like we almost haven't stopped. But of course now that Brandi is home we won't stop until we move or she leaves which ever comes first! Who knows. We are really excited about the coming year. It seems that some changes are in store for us! But we will see. I do have lots and lots of pictures to post. But I can't do it right now, because I have to go to work. I will try to do it before the year is up. So just hang on!

It's beginning to look like Christmas!
The last couple of weeks have been filled with all sort of preparations for the coming Christmas! Since our house has been decorated since Thanksgiving, we have taken to helping mom and dad decorate their house. Last week we went with them and picked out their tree. Travis has never had a real Christmas tree, so this was a entirely new experience for him. We all had so much fun picking it out, and then counting Christmas lights on the way home, just like we did as kids.
Yesterday night was spent with them making press cookies. For all of those who don't know what press cookies are. They are cookies that you make with a cookie press!!! We have made them every year since I can remember. And once again it was a new tradition that Travis had never done. He really enjoyed the part when they were done. You know the part where you eat them! Actually we all did!
The next week and half or so, is going to be busy! It all starts with Sunday, when Travis gets baptized! I am so excited that he finally has come to Christ. Then Christmas is next week, and then not long after that Brandi comes home! It is going to be such an exciting time! I just can't wait.
Hopefully I will remember to take more pictures in the time to come! I have been really bad at it lately. But we will see I guess.

Snow!!
I was so excited this morning when I walked outside and saw SNOW!!! I had to get up early to go help with Toys for Tots, and I woke Travis up to say goodbye before I left. I walked out the door and much to my surprise it was snowing, and our cars were already covered with snow! It never snows in December, much less actually sticks! So I called Travis and told him to look out the window so he could see it before it melted. Well turns out that we got up and him and Dewy went out and played in for about an hour. He got lots of pictures, so I thought I would share them with you. It all melted before the day really got going, but it was still pretty while it lasted. It's beginning to look like Christmas! Enjoy!
A picture of our porch with our Christmas tree, and snow!

It was still dark when Travis and Dewy started playing!
Travis was kicking snow and Dewy was having a blast chasing it!

Can you believe it?
It's December already. This year has absolutely flown by! I can't believe it is Christmas time. I love this time of year. When everyone has decorations up and in the holiday spirit. It's truly a great time. We have already prepared our house for Christmas. And are ready for Santa! We don't seem to have such a busy month planned like last month was. But I am sure it will fly by super fast. We are so excited about a few of the up coming events this month. Mainly Travis's baptism and all of our favorite Japan people coming home for a visit. We love them so much and miss them more than we thought! Travis is especially excited because he hasn't seen any of them since our wedding over a year and a half ago. Seems like so long ago when we all got together. It is going to be so much fun to have all 9 of our family members back in the house! Guess mom has to get the leaf out on her table!
As you can tell we are so excited about this month. And I will keep you as updated as possible as we wrap up another great year!

We are ready for Christmas!
Right after Thanksgiving was over, we started getting ready for Christmas. It started with decorating the Christmas tree and of course Black Friday shopping! Travis has been wanting to put up our decorations for weeks now, and I believe in waiting till after Thanksgiving. So we did a little compromise and put them up on Thanksgiving. And then of course I have to participate in the annual Black Friday shopping. Me and mom were up at 3:30 and out shopping! It was so much fun. I love this time of year. And now I can't wait till after Christmas either when I get to see me sister, nephews, and brother-in-law!!!!
Our Christmas tree
Thanksgiving 2009!
This Thanksgiving was a great one! It was so great to have Travis home this year to celebrate with us. Thanks mom and Dad for having us over!
We started our day off by watching the annual Macy's Parade. Even Dewy watched it with us.
She didn't make it for it all!
Dad and Mom's awesome fire!
The beautiful table. Mom even used the fine china. And she had to put the leaf out just to fit all the food on the table!
Dad sleeping after dinner. If you look close he is snuggling with the kitty's! He is smiling because he wasn't all the way asleep, and he realized I caught him!!

UT vs. Vandy 2009!
This last Saturday, me and Travis got to do something that we have never before gotten to do. We attended our very first University of Tennessee football game! Since the beginning of this season we have talked about how much we really wanted to go to a game. But it's so expensive that we never thought we would get to go. But the week before at Travis's drill weekend. He was handed 2 free tickets to attended the UT vs. Vanderbilt game. We jumped at the chance to go, after all it was FREE!!!! What more could you ask for? So we loaded up and headed downtown about 5 o'clock. I have to admit, I was worried about finding my way around down there, I don't visit that area very often! But I did really well no problems! We parked in one of the city's free parking garages, and walked to the KAT bus stop. They have special buses that pick you up at certain spots and take you as close to the stadium as possible. Which is like a quater mile away. It was so cool to get off the bus, and see nothing but orange!!! As we turned the corner, you see the stadium all bright and a sea of orange surrounding it! Finally, we had made it! We stayed till the middle of the 4th quarter, because we didn't want to miss the bus back, but we had so much fun. It really is an experience like no other! We are so happy that we actually got to go. I wish that every one got to go at least once. It is an amazing experience. The pictures are the best of all the ones that we took. There are alot more of the band the the guys playing, but 1 it's hard to get the players actually playing, and 2 the band was awesome!
Our first view of Neyland Stadium! So cool
A view of downtown Knoxville, from the walk ways up at Neyland Stadium. Even the lights look orange!
Warming up
We didn't get any pics of them playing in the first half, so these are of the half time show. They did an awesome tribute to all the military. It was a very touching half time show!
The end of the Pledge of Allegiance. Beautiful! 4 of my favorite colors. Red, White, Blue, and UT orange!
Look at all that orange! Doesn't show up great here, but there was alot of it.
Trying to get them on the T, but this as a close as it gets. We scored right after this!
Our only picture of us, we couldn't get as much of the field as we wanted, but it's still good. Although I think I look like I am 12 and really short! But I like this picture.
The sign outside the stadium as we were leaving.
This is the end of the video were we said the Pledge of Allegiance and they opened the flag. What you can't really see is the Bald Eagle that was flying around the Stadium as they opened the flag. It was a real touching moment. Makes me proud to be an American and a UT fan!

Oh you know.......
I rarely seem to have anything of major importance to tell you. Well.....today is no difference! Really I am just sitting here bored and thought that I would blog. I found a couple of pictures that I thought you all would enjoy. The first is a picture mom took of us before the ball last Saturday. I like the ones that she took better, they turned out better than our did. The other 2 are of me sleeping with Dewy. I didn't know that Travis took them until I downloaded them on to the computer. I thought they were cute.
I will tell you, we are so excited about Saturday. Travis got free football tickets! And neither of us have ever been to a game, so we are going to wear our orange and go cheer on the Vols come rain or shine!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEE

Marine Corps Ball 2009
Last night was my very first Marine Corps Birthday Ball! It was so much fun. It started very stressful, but ended on a good note. We didn't stay out as late as I thought we would but we had fun, and were exhausted by the end. Here are some pictures I am not to fond of alot ot them. They turned out really blurry or we look funny. Guess that's what we get for asking a Marine who's been drinking to take a picture! Oh well, you get the idea!

Travis's First Hunt
In the Bumbalough house it is a tradition that seems to have formed over the years. It started when we were kids. My dad took us hunting. We really got into it, we all shot our first deer with my dad by our side! We always had so much fun. Well once me and Brandi got older, we stopped going (sorry dad). But of course Kyle still goes! But as we got married our hubby's decided that they wanted to join the team of Bumbalough hunters! So today was Travis's first day to go hunting. And to much surprise, he killed his first one! It was a small bug, but he was still so excited. To hear him tell his story is like watching a kid open their presents on Christmas! Here are some pictures from his first hunt!
It is tradition that with your first dear you have to have the blood wiped on your face. You can't see it here, but he got it!
Now all of the Bumbalough family members, have all been hunting with dad, and all except one (mom!) have killed a deer.
Thanks Dad for taking us for all the fun!!!!!!

November is here!
Can you believe it? November is really here. This year has absolutely flown by. But the next 2 months are going to be 2 of the best months of the entire year! November and December are two of the funniest months. But right now, I am focusing on November. Why? Because there are a few of things that I look forward to every year happening. In just a couple of weeks I will get to attend my very first Marine Corps Birthday Ball. I have the dress, the jewels, and the hair style. I am set and ready to go. I can't wait!!!!!!!!
Then there is the most obvious reason to be excited about November! Which is Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving. Food and family, what more could you ask for! Oh, and you can't forget reading the paper over and over, looking for all the good deals for the annual after Thanksgiving day sale. So much fun. I love getting up at the crack of dawn to go stand in line for all the great deals that they offer. And getting home at 8 or 9 am after having been shopping for several hours already. It's a girls dream. Oh I just can't wait.

Happy Halloween!
It may be a day early but we are wishing you a happy Halloween none the less. We have some good plans for our Halloween. We were going to pass out candy, but we realized that there really aren't that many kids in our apartment complex. So we decided it was probably not going to work out the way we wanted it to! So we made other plans. We are going to go have dinner with some friends before they take their kids out trick-or-treating. And then we are going to Travis's work, for their annual Halloween party. We don't plan on staying to long. He doesn't know it, but I plan on watching a good Halloween movie, you know "Hocus Pocus" or "Casper". We already carved our pumpkins, so we will be setting those outside. I am excited, it looks like it is going to be a good day! Hope your alls is good as well!

.............
Well, I think the fall weather has finally arrived. But in true Tennessee fashion it can't decide rather it wants to stay or go! Nights have been freezing but today and tomorrow are in the 70s. Makes for great sick weather! Just hope no one here catches it. We are loving the cooler weather, it has giving us a chance to leave the window open, and get out the blankets. And my personal favorite snuggling! Gives me a reason to snuggle up next to my hubby on these cold nights. But other than that, there has been no exciting happenings here. We go to work everyday and come home and have dinner every night, that's about it. But this weekend we are suppose to be having some family pictures taken. Well, our small family of 3! So hopefully after that I will have some pictures to post. And of course Halloween is coming up. We are hoping to get lots of trick-or-treaters. But let's face it, we live in an apartment there probably won't be very many. Well stay tuned!

BIG 2-1
That's right Travis turned 21 years old yesterday. I believe he had a great birthday. He got up early and renewed his drivers licenses, that hadn't been updated since he got. And when he got home we went to the grocery store and bought all the food we were going to need for dinner. And then I went to work, while he chilled here with Dewy! The fun really started when mom, dad, Kyle, grandmother, granddad all packed into our small apartment. Travis grilled hamburgers on our tiny grill and we had so much fun enjoying the time together. When we went to bed he was in a great mood.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRAVIS!!!!!!!

Pictures for your enjoyment!
So there are a lot of pictures below, and they are all out of order. So I will try to provide as many captions as possibly. Enjoy!!!!
So when Travis was gone this past weekend. I was sick, and I told them that I wanted Chicken Noodle Soup. Well, I didn't get any. But when he got home. He handed me a MRE. Not just any MRE, a chicken and noodle MRE. So to show him my appreciation, I ate it. Those things are gross!
Dewy sleeping on the new couch, the day we got it!
When we open the door, we have to put the baby gate up so that she won't break the screen door. She loves to lay in front of the door, and watch the bugs.
We watched 101 Dalmatians the other day, and Dewy didn't like the evil people. She kept trying to eat them!
Watching the movie, before she attacked it!
She has started a new thing, when she plays with her ball, if you take it and tell her to sit and stay, then tell her to get it, she runs and takes it right out of your hand. This is her as she was getting it
These are the best!
MONOPOLY NIGHT!
We played Marine Corps Monopoly so we had to get out the gear to play!
Dewy didn't like it it on Kyle!
And a video for your enjoyment! Kyle sitting on dewy's ball. Making noises!
