Well, after our sad news from yesterday, we have spent alot of time thinking about our options as to what to do next. See we thought that this house was going to work out and we had already signed a month to month lease with our apartment complex. And we didn't want that, so we had to decide what was our options and what we wanted to do exactly. And all though nothing has been decided for sure, but I think we are already on the road to a good decision.
And it also means that I am probably going to take a very big trip to see a certain some one soon!!!!! Which is always exciting!
I am sorry that there hasn't been any more specific plans to be told, but I just don't want to say anything until it is final!!!! But I promise once we make everything permanent you all will be among the first to know. So stay tuned........

No house, no more
That's right, after some unfortunate situations we are no longer buying a house. It is such a long and complicated story that I don't even know were to begin. And really I am not even sure you want to hear it all. Just know that after being slightly tricked we are no longer buying a house, and probably won't be for a while. Just please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we try and decide what to do next!

Under Contract!
We did it!!! Can you believe it, we actually found a house. After all of this searching and no luck, we came across the perfect house. And as of today we are under contract to buy it. Unfortunately we aren't going to be able to move in as soon as we would like (not until July 15th) but we are still super excited.
So you want to know more about it? Of course you do. It is a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath rancher. With a larger kitchen than I have ever had! It is way back off the road which makes it really private. And it already has a small yard that is fenced for Dewy. It is cute and doesn't need much work, which is a big deal for us!
Although we are super excited about all of this, nothing is for certain until, June 30th. That is our closing date, and between now and then we have to have a home inspection, and appraisal. And if neither works out the way we want we will have to start all over. Just pray really hard that nothing will happen and we can move in with no problems!

Can you believe it...
As of today me and Travis have actually spent the most amount of time together in our entire marriage! He has been home for 3 months today. We have never spent three entire months together since the day we said our vows. We got married and Travis left the day after our wedding for two weeks, and then he left a little over 2 months after that for Iraq. It is a small thing but very exciting!
Travis is no longer on active duty as of today either. It makes me a little nervous, you know, not getting a regular pay check from the government! But I have hope that we will make it just fine. But please pray for us, as we once again go through another change and we have to readjust again.

Travis got a job!!!
Although, as I have told you before, life here in the Dickson household has been pretty boring. But we do have a small bit of good news. Travis found a job. With not to much looking and not a lot of effort he found a job working with ADT home security!! It is such a relief to know that when his orders are up at the end of the month he will still be making money!!! I was worried there for just a little while, but all worries have been eased!
In other news, the house that we put an offer in on feel through. I guess we weren't to terribly surprised, but still bummed. So now we are back to the searching phase, and hoping to find something real soon. Our lease is up here at the end of next month, so we really need to get on the ball and find something so that we don't have to extend our lease.
We are also anxiously awaiting for our nephew to make his appearance into the world! I love being an aunt (even though I don't get to see them!) and I can't wait to have to little munchkins to spoil!!!
Well, that is really it in the world of Dickson's. We hope that you all have a great weekend!

Daily happenings...
Once again not much going on here in the Dickson household! Travis took his terminal leave last week, so is now off till the end of May when his orders are up and he goes back on reserve status . He is currently looking for a job to occupy his time between reserve weekends! He has an interview on Monday, and is still considering the police department if they will hire him at least part time if not full time. So keep your fingers that he gets this job, at least then he would have options!!!!
We are both currently in the process of finding a school to go to. I have decided that after all the problems that Roane State has given me that I will not be returning to school there. And since Travis hasn't ever actually started school we thought that it would be a good time to start. Which may sound boring to the rest of you, but to us it is exciting. Travis has not been home for an entire semester of school since we graduated High School that he never got the chance the chance to start. But he will be home now!!!!!
As most of you know we have decided that it is time for us to buy a house. We have been really searching for about a month, but just recently found what we believe is "the one". We have put in an offer and are currently in negotiations, but it isn't looking very promising. But we are holding out hope, if it isn't "the one" then we will keep looking. But keep your fingers crossed for us!
Well, I believe that is all the news for now. See I told you not much!!!! Hope you all have a good Mothers Day!
