We are ready for Christmas!

Right after Thanksgiving was over, we started getting ready for Christmas. It started with decorating the Christmas tree and of course Black Friday shopping! Travis has been wanting to put up our decorations for weeks now, and I believe in waiting till after Thanksgiving. So we did a little compromise and put them up on Thanksgiving. And then of course I have to participate in the annual Black Friday shopping. Me and mom were up at 3:30 and out shopping! It was so much fun. I love this time of year. And now I can't wait till after Christmas either when I get to see me sister, nephews, and brother-in-law!!!!

Thanksgiving 2009!

This Thanksgiving was a great one! It was so great to have Travis home this year to celebrate with us. Thanks mom and Dad for having us over!

We started our day off by watching the annual Macy's Parade. Even Dewy watched it with us.

She didn't make it for it all!

Dad and Mom's awesome fire!

The beautiful table. Mom even used the fine china. And she had to put the leaf out just to fit all the food on the table!

Travis snuck in a picture of me pouring the gravy.

Dad sleeping after dinner. If you look close he is snuggling with the kitty's! He is smiling because he wasn't all the way asleep, and he realized I caught him!!

UT vs. Vandy 2009!

This last Saturday, me and Travis got to do something that we have never before gotten to do. We attended our very first University of Tennessee football game! Since the beginning of this season we have talked about how much we really wanted to go to a game. But it's so expensive that we never thought we would get to go. But the week before at Travis's drill weekend. He was handed 2 free tickets to attended the UT vs. Vanderbilt game. We jumped at the chance to go, after all it was FREE!!!! What more could you ask for? So we loaded up and headed downtown about 5 o'clock. I have to admit, I was worried about finding my way around down there, I don't visit that area very often! But I did really well no problems! We parked in one of the city's free parking garages, and walked to the KAT bus stop. They have special buses that pick you up at certain spots and take you as close to the stadium as possible. Which is like a quater mile away. It was so cool to get off the bus, and see nothing but orange!!! As we turned the corner, you see the stadium all bright and a sea of orange surrounding it! Finally, we had made it! We stayed till the middle of the 4th quarter, because we didn't want to miss the bus back, but we had so much fun. It really is an experience like no other! We are so happy that we actually got to go. I wish that every one got to go at least once. It is an amazing experience. The pictures are the best of all the ones that we took. There are alot more of the band the the guys playing, but 1 it's hard to get the players actually playing, and 2 the band was awesome!

Our first view of Neyland Stadium! So cool

A view of downtown Knoxville, from the walk ways up at Neyland Stadium. Even the lights look orange!

The UT players getting ready to run through the big T created by the band!

Power T- by the Pride of the Southland Band!

GO VOLS!!!!!!!

Stretching

Warming up
We didn't get any pics of them playing in the first half, so these are of the half time show. They did an awesome tribute to all the military. It was a very touching half time show!

The end of the Pledge of Allegiance. Beautiful! 4 of my favorite colors. Red, White, Blue, and UT orange!

UT

UT hudlle!

Look at all that orange! Doesn't show up great here, but there was alot of it.

Trying to get them on the T, but this as a close as it gets. We scored right after this!

Our only picture of us, we couldn't get as much of the field as we wanted, but it's still good. Although I think I look like I am 12 and really short! But I like this picture.

The sign outside the stadium as we were leaving.
This is the end of the video were we said the Pledge of Allegiance and they opened the flag. What you can't really see is the Bald Eagle that was flying around the Stadium as they opened the flag. It was a real touching moment. Makes me proud to be an American and a UT fan!

Oh you know.......

I rarely seem to have anything of major importance to tell you. Well.....today is no difference! Really I am just sitting here bored and thought that I would blog. I found a couple of pictures that I thought you all would enjoy. The first is a picture mom took of us before the ball last Saturday. I like the ones that she took better, they turned out better than our did. The other 2 are of me sleeping with Dewy. I didn't know that Travis took them until I downloaded them on to the computer. I thought they were cute.

I will tell you, we are so excited about Saturday. Travis got free football tickets! And neither of us have ever been to a game, so we are going to wear our orange and go cheer on the Vols come rain or shine!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEE

Marine Corps Ball 2009

Last night was my very first Marine Corps Birthday Ball! It was so much fun. It started very stressful, but ended on a good note. We didn't stay out as late as I thought we would but we had fun, and were exhausted by the end. Here are some pictures I am not to fond of alot ot them. They turned out really blurry or we look funny. Guess that's what we get for asking a Marine who's been drinking to take a picture! Oh well, you get the idea!

Travis's First Hunt

In the Bumbalough house it is a tradition that seems to have formed over the years. It started when we were kids. My dad took us hunting. We really got into it, we all shot our first deer with my dad by our side! We always had so much fun. Well once me and Brandi got older, we stopped going (sorry dad). But of course Kyle still goes! But as we got married our hubby's decided that they wanted to join the team of Bumbalough hunters! So today was Travis's first day to go hunting. And to much surprise, he killed his first one! It was a small bug, but he was still so excited. To hear him tell his story is like watching a kid open their presents on Christmas! Here are some pictures from his first hunt!

It is tradition that with your first dear you have to have the blood wiped on your face. You can't see it here, but he got it!

The sleeping boys on the way home!

Now all of the Bumbalough family members, have all been hunting with dad, and all except one (mom!) have killed a deer.

Thanks Dad for taking us for all the fun!!!!!!

November is here!

Can you believe it? November is really here. This year has absolutely flown by. But the next 2 months are going to be 2 of the best months of the entire year! November and December are two of the funniest months. But right now, I am focusing on November. Why? Because there are a few of things that I look forward to every year happening. In just a couple of weeks I will get to attend my very first Marine Corps Birthday Ball. I have the dress, the jewels, and the hair style. I am set and ready to go. I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Then there is the most obvious reason to be excited about November! Which is Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving. Food and family, what more could you ask for! Oh, and you can't forget reading the paper over and over, looking for all the good deals for the annual after Thanksgiving day sale. So much fun. I love getting up at the crack of dawn to go stand in line for all the great deals that they offer. And getting home at 8 or 9 am after having been shopping for several hours already. It's a girls dream. Oh I just can't wait.
