New couch and total boredom!

I am so excited!!! Our new couch arrived this morning. When we bought it they told us that they couldn't give us a specific time that it would be delivered, because Saturday's are so busy. Which was ok with me, because I knew I had nothing that I had to do today. Well a few days ago, they called to confirm the delivery date, and told me that it would be sometime between 8 and 12. Go figure. I just knew it was going to be 12 before they even got here. Well I was completely wrong. I was woken up this morning by phone ringing. It was 7:30. I had planned on getting up at 8 to get showered, dressed, and finish cleaning up. But that didn't work out so well. My phone was ringing, and I didn't recognize the number. I usually don't answer it if I don't know the number, but I guess in the state if confusion that I was in, I answered it. I couldn't understand them really well, the phone was cutting in and out, and they were Jamaican. But I understood that they would be at my place in 10 mins! I quickly got up and got dressed and moved the rest of the stuff out of the way for them to bring the couch in. We sure enough they were there very promptly! It was very interesting to see them try and bring it down the flight of stairs. They had to give up their mocho attitude and take it to the back porch and bring it straight into the living room that way. It was kind of funny. But now it is here and I love the way it looks. It is everything that I had hoped for. The only thing is I don't remember it sitting in it and being this far off the ground. When I sit all the way to the back, I can't touch the ground, I have several inches to go before I am even close! I guess that is what I get for being short.

But there is one funny story about the delivery guys that I must share with everyone. So once they finally got it in the room and set it up. They handed me the thing to sign, and he asked to go to the bathroom. I did obviously thing it was weird that he was thinking. I thought there was a rule against it or something. Well, still being sleepy, I said sure. I really didn't care. He was nice, took care of his business and left. Well when they were done and gone, I decided that it was time for my shower. Well I got it and was going to dry my hair. So I am standing in front of my mirror and reach down to grab my comb and it isn't there. Ok, so let's think about this. It never goes anywhere. I am the only one who uses it, and I leave it on the counter every time I am done. So I go on a total search of my house, and it is no where to be found. And I know, just know (obviously I could be wrong!) that that delivery man stole my comb!!!!!! It was there yesterday and not today, and he is the only one that has been in my house other than me! He stole my comb. Who steals combs. Really, I am not mad, partly cause I can't prove he actually did it, and partly because I think it is hilarious! It's just weird to think that he has my comb. LOL!!!!!!!!

Now for the total boredom part! I guess it is really self explanatory, I am bored. I forgot how quite and boring it is here by my self. And today is the 3rd day of Travis being gone. And I am pretty sure that I am going insane. I find that the longer he is away the more I talk to the dog! And let me tell you she is not a good conversationalist she usually just stands there and stares at me! Oh well. Actually today has been more eventful then last 2. Thanks to my mom, she has kept me entertained. We have already gone shopping and had lunch, and are going to to go to a movie soon. Thank goodness for moms, they rock. But this is good for you all, it means that I blog more than usual! Two days in a row I am doing pretty good.

Well I hope that your alls weekend is less boring than mine, but only in good ways. Oh, and I do have pictures to post, but I can't find the cord to the camera, got to wait till Travis gets home, so he can tell me where he hid it! Have a good weekend. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And.....

It is officially October!!! Time is flying and we are having fun. Well, not this weekend in particular. But most the time. Actually today is mom's b-day. And as Travis says "your 23 right mom!". So Happy Birthday mom!

This weekend has been so boring. Yesterday morning Travis left to go to West Virgina with the Marine Corps. So me and Dewy have been left alone here, for a long girls weekend. But unfortunately it hasn't gone super well so far. Yesterday was fine just super boring. Last night I started to feel funny, like I was sick. And I was right, by the time I woke up this morning I had a full blown something or other. Including fever, headache, and all the typical cold symptoms. After taking some cold medicine and sleeping pretty much all day. I am feeling slightly better. Guess we will see what the rest of the weekend holds.

We are so excited about October. It brings: Mom's B-day, Travis's B-day, and Halloween. And of course the cooler weather is already starting to move in. We got a little ways to go, but we are on our way!

Well, I am off to go to sleep.

It is so hard to believe, it has been 2 years. But it has, Travis graduated boot camp 2 years ago. Time flies when you are having fun and staying busy!!! I wish I had pictures that I could show you all, but of course they aren't on this computer. Things were so much different. Back then, we were 18 years old and I had just started college. Now we are married, and talking active duty. Wow, do the times change. I am so proud of Travis and the things that he has done and accomplished so far in the Marine Corps. He was definitely meant to be a Marine!!!! Can't wait to see what the next few years brings!

Just some pictures

We finally got our camera charged so we have been all about takeing pictures the last few days. So here are some of our favorites.

Since it has been so nice outside. We have been trying really hard to get out and take Dewy to the lake. She loves to swim, but even more she likes the car ride there. I rolled down the window and she came and sat down in my lap and hung her head out the entire time!

Her just hanging out by the sliding glass door, and watch the bugs. This picture was taken after she had attacked several, she was tired!

Oh what a weekend!

I know I know it is Wednesday, the weekend has long past, and it is time to look towards the new weekend, but I just realized that I might have something to post!!! YIPEE! This past weekend was a really great weekend. It started out with us just hanging out Saturday morning. We didn't have to wait to long after we got up for the Tennesse game to come on to TV! The first game of the season, who wouldn't be excited? This is the first year that Travis has really gotten into it as much as I do, so that made it all the more exciting. We got all dressed up in our orange, and watched and cheered the Vols to a good 63-7 victory!! We were so excited. After the game was over, we got ready for our double date night with our friends Whitney and Brian. We met them at Olive Garden for dinner, and had a blast laughing with them. We decided to make it an even better evening by going to a movie. We saw Inglorious Bastards. And let me tell you. There is not a Marine in this world who won't like that movie. Go figure. But over all it is a pretty good movie. It was such a fun night.

Sunday morning was another good church morning, followed by another good dinner with friends. But these were other friends. The Kennamers! Kate and Clint and there son Dillon. We ended up playing a good game of Marine Corps monopoly. It was so much fun.

Monday, I ,unfortunatly, had to work. But Travis didn't so him and Dewy got to sleep in and play while I worked. But work was good! My mom stopped by and told me she was putting something in my car. I was so excited because mom always buys good things. I couldn't wait to see what it was. But I was so excited (and I have a feeling mom was to) that mom told me what it was. She bought me a dress for the Marine Corps Birthday Ball!!! I am so very excited. I had tried it on the other day and I loved it, but I thought it was to expensive. But apparently it was on sale the other day, when mom was there. So she was the best mommy in the world and bought it for me!!! WOOOO-WHOOOO, now I am going to be the best dress girl at the ball. I am so excited (if you couldn't tell). It is a beautiful dress. And I can't wait to show everyone pictures of it. And then that night we went to their house for Labor Day dinner. Well ok, it was our weekly Monday night dinner, but still it was lots of fun and really yummy.

As you can tell it was a really good weekend. The week has been a little rough, so hopefully we will have another good weekend! We will see............

As September rolls in....

....all the excitement begins. At least that is how I choose to view it! There just seems to be so many exciting things that are going to be happening these next few months. It excites me more than most people know. So here is the low-down on what is going to be happening! September: my nephew turns 2, my sister turns 24. And the weather here in Knoxville is going to start turning cooler! Fall will begin it's decent over Knoxville, and I will get to change out my summer cloths to my winter cloths. Well then we get to October: My mom turns another year older (aren't you happy I didn't say how old mom!) Travis turns 21. That is right the BIG 2-1. He will be officially legal in every aspect of adulthood. And then at the end of the month is Halloween! I plan to go all out. But then after all that comes maybe the best 2 months of the year! That is right, November and December!!!! Thanksgiving and Christmas! My 2 most favorite holidays of the year. November also has the famous after Thanksgiving Day shopping. Oh my favorite day to shop EVER! Getting up early to do nothing but shopping all day is more fun than most think, until your experience. But what could possibly be even more exciting this year, is that this will be my very first Marine Corps birthday ball! I have never been able to attend one, and this year Travis will be home so we can get all dressed up and have a blast. And then of course December is Christmas, and New Year's Eve/ New Years. And hopefully a special few visitors will come and make November or December a better month! No pressure Brandi!

But you want to know what the best part of all this is. Travis will actually be here to do it all with me. This will be our first Holiday season married that we will actually spend together! This is so very exciting to me.

I am so excited about what the next few months holds for us, it promises to be rewarding. So stay tuned, hopefully this will give me alot more to blog about!
