Locked Out!

What a day. This morning Tucker decided that he needed to go outside. Well, I grabbed the leash hooked him up and the out the door we went. My very loud neighbors that live above us apparently have decided to move. So we had to walked around the corner so Tucker would go to the bathroom. When we came back to the door it was locked! The frame is slightly messed up and if you hit the lock just right it won't open all the way. Well Dewy was jumping on the door and hit the lock so I couldn't get in. I started to panic!! It is Sunday so the office wasn't open like it was last time. I have no keys, no phone, and the puppy is in side doing no telling what. So I catch one of the loud neighbors in the process of moving and I tell him my sad story and ask if I can use a phone. At first he just stares at me like I am crazy. But then hands me a cell phone. Ok I start to calm down, because now I can call maintenance and they will come let me in. Well no such luck. The maintenance guy doesn't pick up. So I have to leave a message. Now the panic really sets in. A millions things start to race through my head. How long till some finds me sitting here on my porch with my dog doing nothing? I am stranded at my own place. This is a disaster! Well I hear Dewy jumping on the door again. So I decided, as a last minute ditch effort, to try and open the door. And it opens!!!! Dewy saves the day. She had jumped on the lock just right again and unlocked it. I am so relieved. Well a couple of minutes later there is a knock on the door. I open it up to see the maintenance guy! He looked at me and asked "did you get locked out"? he is looking at me like a have a booger hanging out of my nose. So I told him my strange story, and show him the door frame as proof. Well he looks at me like I am the biggest liar in the world, and promises to get the door frame fixed so that this doesn't happen again.
Lesson learned: always have an extra key hidden in case puppy locks you out!
Well now I am in my house and scared to leave in case Dewy takes revenge on me again!
